A rooftop collaboration with Jake Woland and Rob Roy Chalmers - constructed from plywood, fabric epoxy resin and natural rope.
Some notes: (I'll write something more coherent when I get a chance)
This is a large organic shape that sits inside of a squat rusting tower.
Ropes originate from the center of pod and branch out to points on a second
tower. The ropes create a tension between the two towers. Dumbo is a
completely urban neighborhood; it is all brick and steel and right angles.
The pod is a counter point to this environment. An important aspect of the
pod is that it is of sufficient size and scale such that it really engages
the two steel towers.
